Pinterest ILLEGAL? Lawyer says picture-sharing 'boards' break copyright laws

Users of hit new social network Pinterest could be breaking the law - and the site makes the users themselves responsible for their 'crimes'.

An American laywer, 'Kirsten', claims to have deleted her Pinterest account after realising she could be breaking the law by using popular photo-sharing site.

The report, on Business Insider, claims that site users are sharing and reproducing copyrighted images by 'pinning' them on the 'boards' the site uses - and breaking U.S. copyright law.

The site's terms and conditions are also designed to ensure the users take the blame - not the startup itself.

‘You acknowledge and agree that the entire risk… remains with you,’ says the site's legal documents. Read More
